A better way to send marketing proposals (or any proposal)

I spend a good chunk of my time meeting with prospective clients for Redemptive Digital and putting together proposals.

We’ve done everything from custom designed pitch decks, simple PDF docs with little creativity, email proposals, and just about every other format.

Well, this weekend I was working on sending out a few more and wanted to try something new.

So, I spent 20 minutes standing up https://marketingproposal.co and created two templates that we can use for sending new client proposals.

Each template is customized to fit their brand, use their logo, their photos, etc. to help make it feel extra personal.

For some prospects, we will even record a short video and add it to the proposal page for them to watch. You’d be surprised the impact of a 30 second welcome video has on a prospective client.

A few features I’m excited about…

From the agency viewpoint, we are most excited about the ability to track visitors and how often they are looking at the proposal. As well as the ability to look at heat maps to determine which assets are being viewed the most, whether that’s case studies, videos, testimonials, etc.

We also created a downloadable version of this proposal that potential clients can download and browse through if they wish to do so. We recognize that not everyone is going to want a proposal that’s online, so we want to be able to offer both by offering the downloadable PDF version.

Final thoughts…

Is this something that will or can turn into a standalone business… who knows. My gut is likely not.

But, is this a feature that allows our team and agency to stand out from our competition by offering hyper personal and branded proposals in a fraction of the time? I think so.
